Splash Effects Logo

This is the tutorial project I chose to do from the NAPP website. It was called Splash Effects for Logos. I made a logo for the swim team because it fit the splash style of logo well. I think it turned out well and if I did it again I would try it with different themes for different sports or activities etc.

School Planner Design

This is my planner design for the school planner project. I tried to make it simple and visually appealing at the same time so that it was nothing too complex for a planner. I think it turned out well because it encompasses the school colors, mascot, and has a design that is somewhat different from just a regular planner cover. I think this is what a cover of a planner should look like and therefore I think the project turned out well.

Mixer Edge Mask Effects

This is a tutorial from the NAPP website. The tutorial was for mixer edge mask effects. The image I used was one I took this spring break at Cocoa Beach. I used the layer mask tool, the mixer brush, and the texture brush to create the border. I think it turned out well because the border looks rough and jagged which was the goal of the tutorial, and I think it fits this image well. If I did the project again I would incorporate different colors into the image instead of just grey.

Digital Photography Exhibit

This is the picture I chose from the Metropolitan website. The photographer is Matthew Porter and the date is 2010. I like this picture because it is a cool scene of the car jumping in the streets of Los Angeles. I like the colors that make it look like a older, original image. The artist made this picture by taking pictures of die cast cars in his studio, while creating the same lighting conditions as the background image. This way he can insert his picture into the background and it looks like there is actually a car jumping. I think the artist does a good job trying to achieve the same lighting conditions as the background.

This is my create your own font project. For this project I used magnetix toys that I had at my house. I put them in letter shapes and took pictures of each letter. I think it turned out looking pretty realistic and had the shape of the letters in the alphabet for the most part. Overall, I think the project turned out well.
